LoopOS has been named the winner of the first edition of Startup World Cup Portugal, securing the chance to represent the country at the global grand finale in San Francisco on October 16-17.
The company will compete against winners from 70 other regional stages held worldwide for a $1 million investment prize from Pegasus Tech Ventures, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm with more than $2 billion under management.
“The ERP [Enterprise Resource Planning] of the circular economy, LoopOS captivated the jury with vision, boldness, and flawless execution,” Rui Sales Rodrigues, executive director of Startup World Cup Portugal wrote on LinkedIn.
He added that the win is “more than a milestone,” describing it as a celebration of Portuguese innovation and entrepreneurship that shows national startups can drive “global change with purpose and impact.”
