Conexus, a Portuguese company focused on the digital transformation of procurement and supply chain functions, has launched operations with a focus on the Iberian market, aiming to support organizations in improving processes and operational performance.

The launch takes place in a context of increased instability in international trade, marked by geopolitical tensions, price volatility, logistics disruptions, and inflationary pressures.

This environment, Conexus said in a company statement, has reinforced the need for greater visibility, planning capabilities, and operational control across supply chains.

Headquartered in Porto, Conexus operates across multiple stages, from strategic definition to implementation and continuous optimization, with a focus on operational and financial indicators such as spend control, process efficiency, and predictability.

To accelerate the identification of opportunities and prioritization of high-impact initiatives, the company introduces its “10-Day Value Discovery” approach: a data-driven method that, within 10 days, identifies, quantifies, and prioritizes opportunities in procurement and supply chain, and defines an execution plan with clear metrics.

Diogo Carneiro, co-founder and CEO of Conexus, said companies need to improve margins and predictability through faster decision-making and better execution, adding that Conexus’s 10-Day Value Discovery is designed to deliver results faster.

“We identify where value lies, quantify the impact, and provide a clear plan to capture it,” he noted.

Market studies have associated higher levels of procurement maturity with stronger financial performance. According to McKinsey research, companies with more mature procurement functions tend to achieve higher EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) margins compared to less developed organizations.

Strategic partnership with Coupa

Conexus launches with a strategic partnership with Coupa, a global leader in business spend management, reinforcing its ability to accelerate digitalization and spend control within organizations.

João Batista, Coupa’s head for Portugal and Spain, states that Iberian companies are facing a growing need to strengthen their procurement systems in response to increasingly demanding external challenges, particularly geopolitical pressures and supply chain disruptions such as those currently observed.

“In this context, Conexus is a strategic partner for the Iberian Peninsula, combining strong experience in implementing our solutions with the ability to support companies in the digitalization of their procurement operations,” he noted.

Conexus brings together a team with experience in digital transformation projects across multiple sectors, including energy, industry, construction, healthcare, retail, telecommunications, and financial services. The company combines functional and technological capabilities, including integration with enterprise systems, with a strong focus on execution and operational adoption.

Conexus is supported by investors such as Growset and Rui Pereira, co-founder of OutSystems, a Portuguese unicorn, reinforcing its connection to the Portuguese technology ecosystem and its ambition to build an “Iberian center of excellence in operational digital transformation.”
