Newly launched Portuguese technology company Noviq is expanding into the Netherlands as it helps large organizations modernize critical workflows and systems before introducing artificial intelligence into their operations.
The company, according to a statement shared with Portugal Startup News, specializes in implementing ServiceNow, a leading enterprise platform used to manage and automate business processes.
Created to support organizations with complex operations, Noviq aims to prepare critical business processes for AI adoption in a secure, scalable, and sustainable way.
It does so through enterprise architecture services, specialized consulting, and proprietary technology solutions.
Preparing enterprise processes for AI
Companies are increasing their investment in AI, but outdated processes, poorly integrated systems, and underprepared workflows continue to limit adoption, according to Noviq.
Recent research supports the broader view that many organizations are adopting AI without redesigning the processes around it.
Deloitte’s 2026 State of AI in the Enterprise report found that 37% of organizations are using AI at a surface level with little or no change to underlying business processes, while only 30% are redesigning key processes around the technology.
Co-founders Bruno Pires and Luís Franco said the challenge of digital transformation is no longer centered solely on selecting the right AI models, but on improving the business processes that underpin organizational performance.
“Over the past few years, the focus has been on the rapid evolution of AI models. Today, the real challenge lies in preparing business processes,” they noted.
“If critical processes are not ready, artificial intelligence simply automates inefficiencies and amplifies existing problems.”
Investing in proprietary technology
Noviq is investing in proprietary solutions and technology accelerators designed to reduce implementation times and improve operational efficiency.
The company expects to exceed €1.8 million in revenue during its first year of operations, driven by growing AI adoption among large enterprises.
João Prior, managing partner of Growset and a shareholder in Noviq, said AI would fundamentally reshape the technology services industry.
“Value will no longer come primarily from scaling teams, but increasingly from the ability to build technology assets, accelerate implementations, and transform critical business processes at scale,” Prior said.
He added that this shift represents a significant opportunity for specialized companies such as Noviq, which combine process expertise, enterprise platforms, and artificial intelligence.
Noviq’s investors also include Growset and Rui Pereira, co-founder of Portuguse unicorn OutSystems.
