Startup World Cup Portugal has announced 10 finalists for the 2026 national competition.

The selected startups, announced on LinkedIn by Adolfo Magalhães, director and partner of Startup World Cup Portugal, are:

The remaining 40 previously shortlisted startups will also deliver a one-minute elevator pitch before the jury and audience. For the first time, one of them will be selected to advance to the final stage, increasing the total number of finalists to 11.

The finalists will take the stage for a five-minute presentation followed by a three-minute Q&A session.

The national final will take place on June 18 at Unicorn Factory Lisboa. The winning startup will represent Portugal at the global Startup World Cup grand finale in San Francisco in November, where it will compete for a $1 million investment prize awarded by Pegasus Tech Ventures.

Caixa Capital has also reserved €1 million for a potential investment in startups participating in the Portuguese edition. The capital may be invested in one or two companies from the group of 50 startups.

The decision will be made independently by Caixa Capital, subject to due diligence and final agreement, and does not depend on the competition outcome.
